Learn to play pickleball.

Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the US and it has begun to catch on in Southern Illinois! The SIU Student Recreation Center is offering two pickleball experiences: Pickleball 100 and Pickleball 200.

Pickleball 100 - Learn to Play Pickleball

If you are looking to learn how to play this paddleball sport, sign up for our Pickleball 100 session(s). Participants will learn the rules, positioning on the court, and how to score in a fun step by step process where you will learn through playing. Skills will be applied during play and after this class, participants can expect to be ready to join in community open play times with confidence.

Pickleball 200 - Advanced Beginner

If you wish to further hone your pickleball skills and strategy, our Pickleball 200 four session course is right for you. Players will attend four one and a half (1.5) hour sessions to master different aspects of the game such as serving, serivce return, net play, player/partner positioning, and, perhaps the most important shot in pickleball, the third shot (do you drive, drop, or lob?).
