Lifeguarding Class

Open to everyone!
Become certified through the American Red Cross as a Lifeguard. Join our RSS Instructional staff in taking your first step toward a rewarding career as a lifeguard. Learn skills in aquatic rescue, CPR, AED, First Aid, and safety while gaining the confidence to react in an emergency. Participants will need to be able to pass a pre-course skills test during the first session in order to continue:
- 300-yd continuous swim demonstrating Frontcrawl and Breaststroke
- Timed 10 brick retrieval
- 2-minute tread water using only legs

Online Learning Requirement
Once registered, participants will receive a link (a few days prior to class) to access the ARC online learning material. Length of material is an estimated 7 hours and must be completed prior to the first in-person class session. Minimum contact information of email address must be on file to receive this link.
