How to apply:

Step 1. Complete one of the following:

Step 2. Submit completed Student Employment Application with the following documents:
  • Detailed Student Schedule from Salukinet
  • Your resume
  • Three professional references – complete contact information including name, phone number, and an email address
  • A list of any relevant CURRENT Certifications (i.e. CPR/AED, First Aid, Lifeguard, Personal Training/Group Fitness etc.)

3. Application materials may be submitted In person to the Student Recreation Center OR US Postal service – send to: Employment, 300 E Grand Ave, MC 6717, Carbondale IL 62901

  • Base Camp Attendant
  • Business Office - Clerical
  • Certified CPR Instructor
  • Climbing Wall Attendant
  • Competitive Sports Supervisor
  • Custodial
  • Facility Manager
  • Group Fitness Instructor
  • Lifeguard
  • Member Services, Customer Service - Cashier
  • Personal Trainer
  • Programs Manager
  • Reception Desk - Customer Service
  • Sports Official

WHO CAN APPLY?

SIU Students only.

SIU Students are only able to work on the SIU Carbondale campus if you meet one of the following requirements:

Undergraduate Students:
  • Fall/Spring: 6 credit hours
  • Summer: 3 credit hours
Graduate Students:
  • Fall/Spring: 6 credit hours
  • Summer: 3 credit hours
Graduate Students (and also employed as a graduate assistant):
  • Fall/Spring: 8 credit hours
  • Summer: 3 credit hours
International Undergraduate Students:
  • Fall/Spring: 12 credit hours
  • Summer: 6 credit hours if new to campus, otherwise 3 credit hours
International Graduate Students:
  • Fall/Spring: 9 credit hours
  • Summer: 3 credit hours
International Graduate Students (and also employed as a graduate assistant):
  • Fall/Spring: 8 credit hours
  • Summer: 3 credit hours
